Alec Wade is a talented musician, educator, and songwriter originating from the Wild West of Humboldt County. He began his musical discipline from the age of 9 on the snare drum. After pursuing music throughout school, Wade graduated from Southern Oregon University in 2020. Since then, he’s been performing with local bands and teaching private lessons for drums, guitar, and ukulele from his home studio – El Mono Morado – in Medford, OR.
Wade was a Drum Instructor and Band Coach for the Britt Festival Rock Camp in Summer 2025. He facilitated group drum set instruction, taught lessons to individual students, and served as a Coach for a multi-instrument ensemble of kids grades 8-12.
Wade performed in the SOU Percussion Ensemble under Professor Terry Longshore from 2018 to 2020. He also performed for the SOU Maraval Road Steel Pan Band under Reed Bentley from 2017 to 2020.
Wade currently plays in two major Southern Oregon bands: Adam Gabriel & The Cavaliers, and (winners of the 2024 Southern Oregon Battle of the Bands) More Or Les Paul.
